Spectator Sports

Keyser and Frankfort high schools have full competitive sports programs with active community support .

West Virginia University Mountaineers are of local interest as well as the athletic programs at Frostburg University, Allegheny Community College and Potomac State College.

Participant Sports

Citizen groups in Mineral County provide numerous opportunities for youth and adults to be active in organized sports programs. These efforts and programs are evidence of citizen involvement and financial support from local businesses in providing a healthy environment for our youth and adults.

The Mineral County Board of Parks and Recreation maintains cabins at Jennings Randolph Lake, soccer and baseball fields at Larenim Park and provides support for private organized sport programs.
